“The secret is in the details”… and Patrick Brown, a graphic designer and illustrator from Australia, shows us how true that saying it really is. With a careful and trained eye, he introduces us to his drawing style thru the movies and video games that he likes, and which are his primary source of inspiration.

Patrick Brown is an artist who handles both pencil-to-paper drawing and digital art. Born in 1985, he grew up drawing and has been doing it ever since. Currently working as a graphic designer he uses his free time to create artwork based on everything and anything that he likes.. From gaming to movies to comic art, his artwork is always full of energy and movement and keeps a modern comic art feel.

If you would like to learn how to do this stye of illustrations, Patrick started a class on “Skillshare. You can learn the details of his process right there.

This God of War illustration is probably my favorite. Just the perspective and the details in the illustration, not to mention the color combination. If I where a fan for the game and this would have been the cover, I would have gotten it just for the cover case.
