A rich and engaging user experience with a seamless navigation that puts things into a new perspective. A technique that has been abused in the past months, but with more positive results then negative. The following showcase presents some projects that bring something different.</p>

<p>An important aspect that must be taken in consideration, is the way they used/implemented the parallax scroll effect in telling their story (Von Dutch), presenting their products (Volkswagen, Nike), or just a fun way of showing appreciation (Soleilnoir Believe In). This showcase presents how some have used this technique in presenting their information and not just limiting our attention to the effect itself.</p>

I say intriguing, because until now you would see flash based presentations of the products (website number one, campaign  website). When it would come to process of buying, you would be redirected to a html(eCommerce) based platform website (website number two, store). </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Star Wars Identities explores the theme of identity via ten components that help shape who we are. According to current scientific research, these are our: species, genes, parents, culture, mentors, friends, marking events, occupation, personality, and values. These ten components are grouped into the exhibit’s three main areas or subthemes, which follow the progression of identity from childhood to adulthood: first <strong>Origins</strong>, then <strong>Influences</strong>, and finally <strong>Choices</strong>. </p>
<p><span id="more-2387"></span></p>
<p>Using the Star Wars films as a lens through which to explore these themes and components of identity, the visitor learns more about their favorite Star Wars characters, and also something about themselves in the process. The exhibit follows the story arcs of Luke and Anakin Skywalker: two heroes who share similar genes, were raised on the same planet, but whose choices in life took them along very different paths. At the same time, a unique interactive “identity quest” allows visitors to put themselves at the center of the action and design their own Star Wars hero identity as they make their way through the exhibit.</p>
<p>Canadian ad agency Bleublancrouge  has created several new character portraits for the campaign.<br />
Given the exhibit’s theme of identity, or “the forces that shape us,” the illustrations draw inspiration from each character’s individuality — what it is that makes them unique or the things and events that shaped them along the way.</p>

&#8220;Cudi The Kid&#8221; is the name of the new song of Steve Aoki ft. Kid Cudi and Travis Barker.<br />
Even so, the attention grabbing aspect is not represented by the song, but by the visuals.</p>
<p><span id="more-2359"></span></p>
<p>Crisp images, well implemented effects that add depth to the story, an original perspective and Steve Aoki in a indian headdress. These sums up the reasons why I like this video, and to blame is <a rel="nofollow" title="Jam Sutton portfolio website" href="http://www.jamsutton.com">Jam Sutton</a>.<br />
From shooting to post production, Jam is fully hands-on and in control of every artistic aspect, creating his bold recognisable style.<br />
His work spans various mediums, harnessing the power and creativity of cutting edge techniques through photography and video.<br />
And yet, there where two more things that needed clarification: what is the idea behind the visuals and what was the source of inspiration. For this I approached Jam for answers:</p>
<p>&#8220;The video explores childhood nightmares and fears, following the young Kid Cudi as his nightmares begin to fuse with reality. There is a lot of surrealist symbolism in the video exposing deeper issues.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m very inspired by the subconscious and dream analysis, a lot of this was used in creating the nightmare scenes (clowns and car crashes etc).&#8221;</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This typographic experiment, by the creative mind of Tien-Min Liao, that explores the relationships between upper-case letters and lower-case letters, and also records the transformation between them.</p>
<p><span id="more-2345"></span></p>
<p>&#8220;In this experiment, I drew shapes with ink on one or both of my hands, manipulating my gestures into the corresponding shape to signify an upper-case letter. Then, using the same shape on my hands, I manipulated my gesture or changed the perspective through which the shape is viewed in order to transform the upper-case letter to a lower-case of the same letter. Removingor redrawing the darkened shape on my hands is not allowed in the experiment. The only way to make the model transform from an upper-case to a lower-case (orvice versa) is changing the gestures or the perspectives.</p>
<p>I created 26 sets of these inked shapes and drew them on my hands.Each set is made to create both an upper-case and a lower-case letter, such as A and a. I also created some italic letters, hand-writing letters and some new typefaces with the same shapes. &#8221;</p>
<p>As a personal note, I would love to see this type in practical use, as the amount of detail of the letters got my attention. I&#8217;m a sucker for details. <p>In Zen literature, the word ‘land’ is commonly used as a symbol for the ‘mind’, and through a series of photographic montage images I have envisioned an exploration into the depths of this metaphorical ‘mind-world’. The narrative follows a spiritual quest as the storyline symbolically wanders through various states of consciousness and perceptions.</p>

<h4>Wabbaly the project</h4>
<p>I, Sergiu Naslau, wanted to present the visual information in another format, in an actual context, where people could see more then just a &#8220;pretty picture&#8221;. Where beginners in the field of design could see the objective side of creativity, that you don&#8217;t throw a color, add some lines and dare to call it a logo.</p>

<p>To add more meaning to this project, I made it as a gift to me (there has to be some egocentric perspective somewhere). As it turns out, today is also my birthday, so Happy 26th Birthday to me!</p>

<p><em>Jump! 15 years. Boiling hormones.</em><br />
<em>Celebrating the agency 15th anniversary, Jump! created a two-page ad in which the pages were glued together using tiny pieces of two-sided adhesive tape, to bring an even more literal  and humorous effect to the image. Whenever opening the magazine, the reader would have to unstick  both pages , as if finding a15-year-old boy &#8220;damaged&#8221; erotic magazine.<br />
The ad was published in a brazilian advertising yearbook.</em></p>
