One popular trend in web design this days is the parallax scroll effect. A rich and engaging user experience with a seamless navigation that puts things into a new perspective. A technique that has been abused in the past months, but with more positive results then negative. The following showcase presents some projects that bring something different.
An important aspect that must be taken in consideration, is the way they used/implemented the parallax scroll effect in telling their story (Von Dutch), presenting their products (Volkswagen, Nike), or just a fun way of showing appreciation (Soleilnoir Believe In). This showcase presents how some have used this technique in presenting their information and not just limiting our attention to the effect itself.
You can see more websites that use the parallax scroll effect in this previous post: 11 examples of HTML 5 parallax scroll effect.
Tell me what you think and share some projects that you found using this effect. Enjoy!
